Renovate, The First Pillar

A remodel is loud. The way we run one shouldn't be.

HDS+ handles the design, the trades, the schedule, and the mess behind a single point of contact — while you see a calm, curated picture of the work as it comes together. It's the first of our three pillars: Renovate · Manage · Operate, all under one roof, so the home you finish is the home we can go on caring for.

One Team, Whole Project

Most remodelers hand you a bid. We hand you a plan you can see.

Anyone can swing a hammer. The rarer thing is holding a vision steady from the first walk-through to the last — keeping the finishes, the schedule, and the budget pointed at the same picture the whole way through. That's the work HDS+ actually sells.

We're a Native-owned outfit based in Johnson City, TX, remodeling homes across the Texas Hill Country since 2013. Founder Tyler Hill built the model on one idea: a property should be tailored to its owner's vision and outfitted to carry that vision for years — not just until the crew drives off. So a renovation with HDS+ isn't a one-off job order. It's the front end of a relationship, with the same team available to maintain the home after (see Our Model).

Four ways we renovate a Hill Country home.

Kitchen Remodeling

The kitchen is where a Hill Country home earns its keep — the room that hosts the holidays, the guests, and the quiet mornings. We remodel around how you actually live in it: cabinetry and stone that suit the light out here, layouts that open the room to the view, and fixtures and appliances installed by licensed pros. Whether it's a refresh of the finishes or moving walls and utilities, the design and the build come from the same team.

Bath & Spa Remodeling

A well-made bath is the closest thing a home has to a private spa. We handle everything from a guest-bath update to a full primary-suite renovation — tile and stonework, walk-in showers and soaking tubs, vanities, lighting, and the plumbing behind the wall you never want to think about again. The result should feel calm, considered, and built to hold up to daily use.

Exterior, Outdoor Living & Curb Appeal

Out here, the outside of the home is half of it. We remodel the parts of the property that greet you and your guests first: siding and stone, porches and decks, outdoor kitchens and covered living, entry and facade work that makes a place read as cared-for the moment you turn in the drive. It's the "Yellowstone effect" — a home that looks like it belongs to the land it sits on.

Whole-Home Renovation & Make-Ready

When the project is the whole house — a dated property brought up to standard, a new purchase made truly yours, or a home prepared to host guests or go to market — we run it as a single coordinated renovation instead of a stack of separate jobs. One scope, one schedule, one team accountable for the finished result. If the home is headed for the rental market, the same crew can hand it straight to our make-ready and rental operations.

The Process

How a remodel with HDS+ actually runs.

You don't need finished plans — or even a firm idea — to begin. You need a starting point. Here's the path from first contact to final walk-through.

1 · Free score

Start with a no-cost property score. It gives you an honest baseline on the home's condition and priorities before anyone talks scope or budget — the same front door every HDS+ relationship uses.

2 · Walk-through & vision

We visit, listen, and look. This is where a rough idea becomes a real scope — what you want the space to become, and what the property actually needs to get there.

3 · A plan you can see

You get a clear scope, selections, and a schedule — the plan and the number, together, before the first day of work.

Then the build, quietly run: one team, one point of contact, coordinating the trades and holding the schedule while you see a calm, curated picture. We finish with a final walk-through together, and because HDS+ also Manages properties, the home doesn't get abandoned at completion — the same team can keep it maintained for years.

Craft & Curation

They manage the job. We curate the outcome.

The Hill Country isn't short on people who can build. What owners here are actually looking for is rarer: a remodeler who treats the process the way a good house treats the land — with restraint, taste, and the sense that someone is quietly minding every detail so you don't have to.

As Hill Country property values climb, upkeep and curation aren't a luxury — they're what protects the home as an asset. A remodel done well, by a team that stays, is the surest way to keep a place looking like it's cared for by people who belong here.

Native-Owned, Local Since 2013

Roots in the Hill Country, not a franchise territory.

HDS+ is proudly Native-owned and operated, headquartered at 106 Old Austin Highway in Johnson City, TX, with roots across Central Texas and the Greater Hill Country going back to 2013. That's more than a decade of the same crews on the same roads — through Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg, Wimberley, Blanco, Driftwood, and Austin — which is exactly what makes "one point of contact" mean something. The team that scopes your remodel is the team that shows up to build it.

If you're weighing a whole-property relationship beyond the remodel, we also handle property management across the Hill Country and ongoing property maintenance.

Frequently Asked

What owners ask before a remodel.

What types of home remodeling does HDS+ handle in the Hill Country?
Kitchens, baths, exteriors and outdoor living, and whole-home renovations — from a single-room refresh to a full make-ready. Design and build come from the same team, so the project stays coordinated end to end.
Do I need finished plans before I reach out?
No. Most owners start with a rough idea, not a blueprint. Begin with a free property score and a walk-through; that's where a vision becomes a real scope, selections, and schedule.
Who oversees the project day to day?
You get one point of contact for the whole remodel — one number, one schedule, one place your decisions live. The team that scopes the work is the team that runs it.
Which Hill Country towns do you serve?
Johnson City and the surrounding Hill Country, including Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg, Wimberley, Driftwood, Blanco, Marble Falls, Spicewood, Kerrville, Boerne, Stonewall, and Austin.
Can the same team maintain the home after the remodel?
Yes. Renovate is the first of our three pillars — Renovate, Manage, and Operate sit under one provider, so the same outfit can keep the home maintained long after the build is finished.
How do I get an estimate?
Start with a free property score. It gives you an honest baseline on the home before anyone talks scope or budget — no cost, no obligation.
